Unrecognized Arrival
As he neared the enclosure, he could see Nia in the distance, her majestic silhouette cast against the twilight sky. His heart pounded in his chest, anxiety and anticipation warring within him. Nia, who was initially oblivious to Mathew’s arrival, had now fixed her gaze on him. Her amber eyes held no recognition, her manner was wary and cautious. The other caretakers were hesitant.
