Dog whistle
With a stern look and a firm blow, the dog owner blew his dog whistle. Jeff hardly ever used this tool since Max was an obedient dog who never needed correcting. But these were desperate times. A high-pitched sound filled the air, and the climbing K9 responded instantly. Max’s ears pointed upwards, and after a few whines, Max shimmied down the trunk to the safe forest floor.
