But that’s when Annie got a great idea. The tunnels where directly linked to the stormdrains all over town. That was the whole reason why the butcher’s dog was sitting by that drain in the first place. And that was why Annie could hear the busy shopping street from inside the tunnel. Annie told the operator to send a firetruck, with climbing gear to the shopping street downtown.
