Calming the dog
The butcher’s dog unfortunately was not aware of the firemen’s noble intent. He had been protecting these kittens all day. And to his eyes, these men could just as well be there to hurt his friends. The dog started growling and for a moment he even lunged at them. But Annie was there to calm him down. She held him closely as they saw the firemen get ready.
