To dark to see
“Is there something down there?” she asked the dog before trying to take a look herself. The dog whined again and for Annie that confirmed her question. She lay down on her belly and put her face as close to bars as she could. It was dark down there, too dark to see. But right before she got up again a strange sound echoed from the deep pit.
