Robert thought about backing away, but he knew that if he let go of the rope, the foal would fall over again. But the mother horse kept coming closer. He didn’t want to hurt the foal, but he also didn’t want to get hurt himself. He stood his ground, waiting to see what the horse would do until the mother horse stopped in front of him.
