The huge horse was looking directly into his eyes, and for a moment, there was complete silence. Robert was unsure of what to do. He had never been this close to a horse before, let alone a wild one. He tried to stay calm, not wanting to spook the mother horse. He slowly lowered his head, a sign of submission in the animal world.
