So, with newfound determination, George stood before Carol’s home. He knocked on the door once again. This time, however, he was resolved not to leave until he got some answers. After several minutes of persistent knocking, the door finally swung open. Carol stood there, her expression stern, her eyes fiery. “Why can’t you just leave me alone, George?” she snapped at him. George was taken aback, but he stood his ground.
