At the hotel
Carol and George, feeling both nervous and hopeful, drove to the hotel where Adam was staying. The short journey felt like an eternity, but eventually, they arrived at the hotel. Jake had given them Adam’s room number. Now, they just hoped he was there. George, feeling a bit nervous, knocked on the door. Carol stood next to him, really anxious and quiet. They both waited, not sure what would happen next.
