Easily forgotten
Carol’s heart sank. She couldn’t believe that Adam, the love of her life, did not recognize her. Was their time together all those years ago so easily forgotten? She wiped away her tears, and her sniffs were loud in the silence. The bewildered Adam stared at her and eventually switched his gaze toward George. He opened his mouth to say something, but then recognition seemed to dawn in his eyes.
