Vanished hope
When Carol saw Adam shake his head, all her hope of finding her true love vanished, and tears formed in her eyes again. George, feeling determined, gently placed his hand on Carol’s shoulder. “We won’t give up,” he assured her. “We’ll find him.” George wanted to give his sister a bit of hope and also granted her to find the answers she was looking for. Why did he leave? Had he forgotten about her?
