Initial surprise
When Frank recovered from the initial surprise, he gestured for them to come in. When George and Carol sat down, they explained what they were doing and told him the entire story of how they got here. Frank listened intently, his face a blend of joy and regret. He was overjoyed to see Carol again but also deeply apologetic for the years of silence and confusion. “I’m so happy to see you,” Frank said.
