“That’s Jake, Anna’s new husband,” answered George, looking amazed by the shocked expression on Aunt Carol’s face. She looked at him like there were a thousand thoughts running through her mind. The room filled with an awkward silence. Then Carol suddenly shoved her seat back, grabbed her jacket, and stormed off angrily. “What got into her?” George asked, but nobody knew what to do or what it was that Carol saw.
