A leap into unknown
James noticed a peculiar pattern in the footprints. There was a large gap, about two meters wide, where the footprints suddenly disappeared, indicating a jump. Could it be that the person realized that he was being followed? Did he try to lose its trackers this way? The thought was both thrilling and terrifying. The footprints resumed after the gap, leading them further into the depths of the forest.
