Simon’s observation
He noticed a series of fallen trees at the edge of the clearing, their once robust bodies sprawled over the ground. Smoke curled from the trees, twisting upwards into the sky. “Look at that,” Simon pointed out, his voice barely a whisper. The tourists followed his gaze, their eyes widening. “But how could a fire arise in the swamp? This is all water?” a tourist asked, perplexed.
