Close friends
As time passed, Tom and Lucy grew closer. The two would nap together on lazy afternoons and turn the playroom upside down on crazy weekends. When it was time for Tom to go to kindergarten, he begged his mother for days to let him take Lucy with him, but unfortunately, that wasn’t an option. So Tom watched the clock like a hawk, counting down the hours until he could go home again.
