The voice on the other end of the line was reassuring to them. They had reached the animal protection sanctuary, an institution devoted to the conservation of wildlife in this area. As Alex explained their predicament, the voice on the other end listened attentively, occasionally interjecting with questions. There was a moment of silence before the voice returned, sounding more serious.
