Sarah’s heart skipped a beat when she also saw that something was missing. “The peanut butter. We just bought it yesterday, and now it’s gone!” she said, her voice rising in alarm. They looked around, trying to find more clues. “If someone’s been in here, we need to call the police, Mike,” Sarah suggested, her hands shaking while she said it.
