Heading down again
Sarah followed cautiously, her heart pounding in her chest. The basement door creaked as Mike opened it. And again, the two of them looked down the stairs, just like last night. Carefully, they ascended until Mike and Sarah stood firmly at the bottom. And that’s when they saw it—the barricade they’d placed in front of the green door was gone. The boards had been neatly set aside.
