Someone was inside that door; it had to be. Mike’s grip on the beam tightened as he approached the door. “Whoever’s in there,” he shouted, his voice firm, “come out with your hands up!” Sarah stood a few steps behind him, her eyes wide. For a moment, there was silence. Then, slowly, the green door creaked open, revealing a dim light behind it.
