With newfound hope, the brothers squinted their eyes, trying to uncover what caused the painting to be damaged. Tom wanted answers so badly that he got so close he felt the dry paint on his face. “There’s something behind the frame,” he suddenly muttered as he backed away. Their hearts raced as Tom reached his fingers around the edge, trying to pry the hidden object loose, but it wouldn’t budge.
