As the judge inched closer to get a better look at the picture, her eyes started to grow larger. Judy could see tears swell up in her mother’s eyes. It was something she hadn’t seen in years. “Mom never cries,” she said to her husband. The judge stood up and immediately canceled the entire hearing.
