“Shush,” the colleague said while gesturing to stay quiet. In the distance, they heard tall grass rustling and footsteps. The group panicked. What could they do? They didn’t have time to return to their camp, the sounds were too close. “Hide,” the ranger whispered. They looked around and hid as best as possible.
