That night
It was Edward who woke up first. A weird static noise was echoing through the Bed and Breakfast. It was distant but off-putting enough to wake him. He sat up straight, placing his back against the backboard of the bed. “Emily, Emily, wake up!” he shouted while violently waking his wife from her slumber.
