Being the good citizen that he was, Bill chose to ignore Margret’s pleading request. He took a few more steps away from her and pressed the numbers on his phone again. The device rang twice before a police operator appeared on the other end of the line. Bill wanted that money out of his life as quickly as possible, so he made sure to give the police a detailed description of their findings.
