Bill hung up the phone and told Margret that the police were on their way. “A patrol car is close, so they will arrive in about ten minutes.” Bill analyzed Margret’s response, and he could see sweat breaking out on her forehead. Bill asked what was wrong. He never saw Margret like this. But instead of giving him a straight answer, she turned around and told him that she couldn’t say.
