Spotting Charles
Matt entered the station and asked for the officers who had just helped him at the store. The desk employee pointed toward a room to Matt’s left, and when he looked over, his heart leaped. He saw the officer enter an interrogation room in which Charles sat. That sight should’ve soothed Matt, but something didn’t seem right. Usually, people would feel nervous inside such a room, but Charles seemed utterly relaxed.
