Calling her name
When Keith and his daughter entered the schoolyard, he heard a girl calling Rose’s name. From her reaction, he could make out it was Sophia who was calling her. “Can I go, dad?” Rose asked. “Of course, dear,” he answered. When he turned to watch her approach Sophia, his breath haltered.
