Hero’s Welcome
When Matthew arrived at the station, he was greeted with applause. Nearly every officer involved in the case was there, clapping and smiling as he walked in. “Here he is—the man who cracked the case!” someone called out. Matthew’s cheeks flushed as he nodded in thanks. The warm reception was overwhelming, and for the first time, he felt like a real hero.
