The owner explained how close the sedan had come to being destroyed. “This one was on the list for crushing,” he said, shaking his head. “But I couldn’t let it go. It’s too nice to turn into a metal cube.” He described walking past it in the yard and being struck by its condition. The decision to save it had been a gamble, but one he felt was worth taking.
