The policeman asked for the license plate number to find out more information about the vehicle. Matthew obliged and gave the number to the officer. The officer was busy looking through the police database. Matthew could tell because the clicking sound of his keyboard was heard through the phone connection. But that paint job was just a part of the equation because Matthew was about to ask the most important question of all!
