The golden “P” turned into the start of a full word as Matthew continued his work. Piece by piece, the layers of black paint fell away, uncovering what appeared to be part of an insignia. Then, he saw it: a star emblem, unmistakably tied to the police force. Matthew leaned back, stunned. He couldn’t believe it—this car had once been a police vehicle.
