The officer, still on speaker, noticed Matthew’s breathing change. “What is going on, sir?” he asked. Matthew explained he found a bag and described its contents. The gun and tape recorder were unsettling, but the Polaroid pictures truly shocked him—they showed a bank building and a deceased person lying in front of it.
