Inching up
A fumbling sound was heard at the base of the ladder, which made Milly’s mom look at her daughter in shock. Until this point, she still held on to the thought that her daughter’s imagination was the problem. But the sound of somebody climbing up made it all very real. Amber also put her head in the wall hole and saw the top of a head inch up the ladder.
