The couple each held out a hand and pulled the old woman close. Meredith was met with a huge hug, followed by a voice of understanding. Her story touched them tremendously, and the tears in Amber’s eyes proved it. They did not want to send Meredith back to the nursing home. In fact, they wanted to do quite the opposite.
