The old lady offered to give them the deeds to the remaining forest grounds. It was a two-acre property that included the shack Meredith lived in, as well as a beautiful lake. It was a good deal for the young couple because this offer increased their property value tremendously. The three of them shook hands and smiled while the next-door neighbor and her little girl were present as witnesses.
