Because soon after borrowing the money, Blake faced threats from loan sharks demanding quick repayment with high interest. Donna stared at him speechlessly and started to worry for him. What had he gotten himself into? Meanwhile, Blake rambled on, explaining he didn’t expect things to get so bad and dangerous. Overwhelmed and scared for their safety, he decided to leave Donna, thinking it was the best way to protect her.
