Calling help
He first checked if Brian was still alive, and luckily, he still had a pulse. It would have been a pretty bad outcome for Andrew if he ended up being the murderer in this case. After finding out that Brian was still alive, Andrew started calling for help. A simple 911 call connected him with the same policemen he sent away that afternoon and they would arrive within the hour.
