Different perspective
The entire diner listened to every amazing war story that came out of Mr.Thompson’s mouth. He acted like they were just everyday things soldiers did in times of crisis. But the feats sounded almost inhuman to Sarah and the diner guests, who grew up in times of peace. The interview fully agreed with the assessment of the onlookers and clapped multiple times out of sheer respect for the old Mr.Thompson.
