Because they had a reason for being there other than to tell memorable stories about Mr.Thompson’s military days, they were here to present him with something very special. The journalist first placed some pictures on the table in front of Mr.Thompson. They were photos of him as a younger man. He wore his wartime uniform in them, and Sarah could see his face tear up when he looked at them.
