Wanting to help
They promised to work as hard as possible every day. They wanted to help these people and show them the respect they deserved. They wanted to learn more about these former soldiers’ history and how they could best help them in their daily lives. Jacob realized that this was Mr. Thompson’s plan all along. He didn’t see a group of loud youngsters. He saw ignorant boys who could learn and grow.
