Unexpected response
When Judith entered her house that very same day, she still had a smile on her face. First of all, she was glad that the labor part was over because it simply hurt. But mostly, she was happy that she had provided the children her friend so desperately wanted. As time passed, though, her facial expression changed. Judith thought back on her pregnancy and experienced an unexpected emotional response to the whole thing.
