The two people walking into Judith’s room were very familiar to her. They were the reason she was in the hospital, after all. Judith smiled and welcomed Angela, whom she called Angie, and her husband, Brad. The smiling surrogate mother asked her best friend if she wanted to take a closer look at her new babies. It was a question with an immediate response. “Yes!” Angie replied while crying from happiness.
