Rudely interrupted
The local fishermen acknowledged Mateo’s presence but were clearly unaware of what he was pointing at. They saw his hand movements as just an extension of his greeting and continued with fastening ropes and packing equipment for their sea voyage. But that all stopped in an instant when a loud bang was heard. The fishermen got an unexpected fright. But the curious Mateo could already guess where the bang came from.
