A mistake
The doctor understood Amanda’s hurry and quickly sat down behind his desk. He started by explaining he invited her to his office because he didn’t exactly know how to bring her this news. Amanda frowned as things became more confusing by the minute. “There’s been a horrible mistake,” the doctor eventually said.
