Panda toy
The dog perked up, tilting its head instantly as if acknowledging her presence. That’s when Kate noticed a worn, panda-like stuffed animal tightly held beneath the dog’s front paws. The animal clung to the toy as if it were something precious, a small hint of comfort in its gentle grip. Kate’s heart softened. The dog must have gotten the animal from someone. “Who do you belong to, boy?” she said.
