Long silence
As Jackie was used to by now, her phone remained silent while John and Sarah were hiking. She would get pictures and messages after they were done, but the silence was longer this time. “They should’ve been back by now,” Jackie eventually mumbled to herself. She grabbed her phone and tried to contact her family.
