The café was about a fifteen-minute walk from his house, but Mark’s nerves made it feel much longer. He kept glancing over his shoulder, paranoid that someone might be following him. His imagination ran wild—were the men who wanted the truck watching him? Were they aware of what he had found? By the time Mark saw the café sign ahead, he was almost out of breath, his body tense with anxiety.
