Disbelief
Matthew was bewildered. He tried to argue, pointing out that the puppies definitely looked like dogs. “What do you mean they’re not dogs?” he asked, his voice shaky with confusion. The vet just shook his head, leaving Matthew more puzzled and uneasy than ever before. Did he really think these were not dogs?
