The trio watched the box hit the ground with a soft thump. Nothing happened for a moment, but then Lizzie took her chance and escaped her confinement. She crawled around the room while the vet hurriedly grabbed a see-through box and placed it over the animal. “What’s going on?” Mia’s mother asked, confused.
